Photo Evidence Shows Stonehenge Was Built In 1954

The photos (below) showing people in the process of building Stonehenge bring a lot of reactions from people all over the world. It is claimed that they were taken in 1954. With a closer look, most people would agree that the photos are not showing a repair project but a building project since most of the stones that are present today are not there yet in the photos. The set of photos also shows the site before the construction of the Stonehenge.

There are photos that show a flatbed lorry carrying a big stone. The images were labeled by a Russian website, claiming that the Stonehenge was built from scratch in 1954.

Historians and archaeologists estimated that the Stonehenge was built from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. The theory that is basing on radiocarbon in 2008 suggested that the first stones were built between 2400 and 2200 BC. Another theory suggests that Bluestones have been built at the location as early as 3000 BC.

According to this link, the claims are false. Stonehenge was not built in 1898 or 1954. Photos offered as “proof” of this are merely evidence of excavations which occurred at the site in the 20th century. Archaeologists agree the monument was built at least 4000 years ago
